So of course the shows in the middle that don't make either list get little attention, although above I mentioned other sections of the book that talk about some of these "middle" shows. I'm glad that several shows made the Top 15 list, especially "Star Trek," "The Outer Limits," and "The Twilight Zone." However, I find a few that made the Top 15 to be dubious, namely "The Jetsons," "The Adventures of Superman," "Captain Video," and "Mork and Mindy." The worst 10 shows get 2 pages each. ![]() The top 15 shows get the most details with 4 pages devoted to each show, each getting a summary, quotes from the show, vital stats (background, writers, cast, etc.), interesting tidbits, and critics' comments. There are several more sections too, including "It Came from Japan," "British Science Fiction," "Super-Marionation," "Anthologies," "Cartoons," "Golden Age," and a few short entries. The best and worst were chosen by over 100 science fiction critics, and these critics are newspaper TV critics, sci-fi authors, authors of books about sci-fi, magazine editors, and the like. The title THE BEST OF SCIENCE FICTION TV is rather a misnomer, since in addition to the TOP 15 shows that comprise almost half the 144-page book, there's also a 20-page section on the WORST 10 sci-fi shows of all time.
